Regal Tang
The Regal Tang is also known as the Blue Tang or Palette Tang, and is categorised as a beautiful and peaceful fish that suits almost any large community marine aquariums. This fish is native to reefs across the Indo-Pacific, and is a very active swim loving fish that also likes to relish a good hiding location amongst live rock.
Requirements
Since the Regal Tang is extremely active it requires ample room to roam around the home aquarium in order to maintain optimum health. Additionally, it is important to regularly observe your Regal Tang as it is one of the more susceptible Tangs in regards to catching white spot, ich and other skin parasites.
Suggestions
Many hobbyists suggest that though the Regal Tang is said to be very peaceful towards most tankmates, it may become aggressive towards those of its own species. However, many have had success keeping multiple specimen through introducing the desired amount at once into the aquarium system.
Feeding
Although Tangs will eat meaty foods along with the other fish in the aquarium, it is important that they are offered plenty of marine-based seaweed and algae. This will strengthen their immune system, reduce aggression, and improve their overall health. Offer dried seaweed tied to a rock or use a clip, and feed at least 3 times per week.

Great fish. Became king of the tank within hours of acclimation. Adjusted well and began eating the first day.
I just got one of these fish. When I let him into the tank he did not hide. He is 1 inch and lives with a yellow watchman goby. Very active and peaceful. Seems to like small pellet food. Beautiful electric blue color.
I have two regal tangs in my reef system, they are great fish and provide a lot of personality to my tank, massive eaters too. They do sometimes show dominance towards each other, but never conflict any damage or anything. However, if I add a new tang they will be very territorial 7/10 times, but after a few days things usually settle down.
