my big yellow toadstool has split a small 1 inch pice off at the base is this it forming another or moving or just another
any idears its compleaty split into 2 now at base
As long as the tissue on the animal is not powdery or grey in colour I am sure it will be ok. How is your other sacrophyton and corals?
there all fine and very happy showing good polyp extension and are wide spread and mushroom getting wider every day but i just wondered why it split a pice off nothing wrong with it and the pice seems to keep it colour will try and post a pic …
I have not heard of this before nor seen it, so I am curious myself

Just sounds to me as it has budded off to form another colony. Its a good sign that its healthy

As long as it is a healthy coral, the stump should turn into another toadstool.
solved the mistery coral splitting , found a big aptasia in the middle growing zapped it with some joes juice
