Does anyone have any ideas on what material to use as a light diffuser? Ive seen some frosted acrylic that will cost me about £15 to cover my two 165 W viparspectra leds but am unsure if this will cause massive par drops or spectrum issues. Will post my build once I have decided on the correct materials.

    Cheers

Go on then I’ll ask it…
Why would you want to put a diffuser over your lights ?

    No, I mean….
Why do you want to put a diffuser over your lights ? What purpose is the diffuser for ?
My question isn’t about disputing the materials 🙂

Evens out the hotspots and PAR.
You loose a bit of shimmer

Because each LED has a lens over it you dont get a constant mix of all the spectrums and you tend to see the separation of colours that shimmer along the sandbed.
