Duncan Coral

The Duncan Coral is extremely beautiful as it possesses a vibrant colouration and majestic movement when under the correct flow. The Duncan colonies form elongated tubular corallited with a magnificent green oral disk. They also display swaying purple tentacles through the day when extended, that contract when disturbed, eating or at night. This coral has had some of the best success in agriculture today.

Requirements
This brilliant coral is such a great tank addition due to the fact that is relatively peaceful towards invertebrates and corals, and will grow pretty quickly in the right conditions. Due to this it is important to provide ample room for the Duncan Coral. This coral requires moderate lighting and low water flow in order to reach its full growth potential.

Suggestions
It is also a viable decision to add trace elements into your water when housing this coral in order to maintain its good health, for example calcium and strontium.

Feeding
Though this coral will attain the majority of its nutritional requirements from the lighting through photosynthesis, it will also benefit from additional food sources in the form of brine shrimp or micro-plankton. This can be done with a turkey baster when its feeder tentacles are open at night.
